Mr. Chidi Umeano

Mr. Chidi D. Umeano is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in Financial Services, Information Technology, Consulting, and Payment Systems. With over 25 years in the banking sector, he has demonstrated expertise in information technology management, operations, business process management, E-business marketing, special products development, and risk management.

Chidi holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos, a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MBA from the Graduate School of Management (IESE), Barcelona, Spain.

As the Head of the Shared Services Office at the Central Bank of Nigeria, he has contributed significantly to change and transformation projects in both private and public sectors. His commitment to professional development is evident through his participation in programs at institutions such as Harvard Business School, Lagos Business School, and Kellogg School of Management.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Umeano dedicates time to the development of the IT sector, facilitating training sessions, and mentoring young entrepreneurs at the FATE foundation. He is an active member of the Computer Society of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

Happily married with children, Chidi continues to make valuable contributions to his field and community.He volunteers a percentage of his time to the continued development of the IT sector through interventions such as facilitating IT training sessions and mentoring young entrepreneurs at the FATE foundation.

He is a member of the Computer Society of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. Chidi is married with children.
